DO WANT TO SELL YOUR GEAR BUT DO NOT WANT THE HASSLE?

Do you have an old kit or unwanted drum lying about that is really just taking up space.

Or even a cymbal  that seemed like a great idea at the time -

WELL, LET US HELP YOU

projects.

HOW IT WORKS

We understand that selling off music gear can be a frustrating process, and it's not for everyone.

So we've tried to make this as simple as we possibly can...

This is how it works:

1) You tell us, through the form below, what you are interested in selling.

2)Keep in mind that, while most fields are optional, the more information you give us, the quicker and smoother the process will be.

3) We will be in contact with you within 3 (working) days. This will be either with a request for more information (get those photos/videos ready!), a quote, or in the rare case that we cannot buy your gear, a refusal.

4) Should both parties agree on a quote, we will arrange drop-off/collection/transport in a way that works for all of us, as well as payment.

PLEASE MAKE SURE TO READ THE FAQ BELOW FOR IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON THIS PROCESS.

FAQ

How do we inform our quotes?

This depends on the item(s). But essentially, it dependes on what we think we can sell it for. If the item is not particularly rare and can be seen widely sold online and in other stores, we inform our quote based on a found price average. If the item is less common, we base our quote either on it's original, brand-new, selling price, as well as any value it might have gained/lost through time. Keep in mind that, should we arrange and pay for postage of the item(s), this will affect the quote.

Can you get more from us (or any shop) than an individual?

Quick, honest answer: that is very unlikely. Unless we're talking about a fairly sought-after item. Even then, our estimate is likely to be lower than what you could get for the item, should you attempt to sell it yourself. The reason why is because we are a shop, and so we are likely to be buying your gear, in order to sell it on ourselves for a fair price.

So why should you sell to us?

By selling to a dedicated music shop, you avoid the hassle of selling gear online. You also get an immediate sale, as opposed to potentially waiting for up to months to clear out your attic and get that deserved cash. What's more, we are a lovely (if we say so ourselves) independent shop. By selling to us, you are helping support an industry that needs as much support as it can get. We have also have been around for a while as a full-fledged, registered business, so you know you can trust us to do our best by you.

Can we sell gear on your behalf?

Yes, we have successfully done this many times before, and it's a great way of selling off your gear. We essentially advertise the item for you, decide on a percentage fee, and you will get your cash once the item sells through our channels.

Do we also do part-exchange?

Why yes, we do. If you want to sell us some of your old gear, in exchange for some in our shop, we will give you a better price than you would get by just selling the item straight to us.

Are all quotes final?

This is a good one! Once more, it depends: if you are able to drop-off the gear, we will inspect it before finalising our quote. Should there be any issues with it, or the item doesn't match the provided information, this is likely to affect the quote, and in some cases, make us cancel our quote and refuse in purchasing the item(s). Should we arange for the item to be delivered to us, we reserve the right to request a partial, and in some cases complete refund and return on the item, should it 1) present signs of use, or damage not clear on photos/videos sent; 2) not match the described brand and/or model; 3) or not match its description provided by you in any other way.

What might make us not want to buy your gear?

If we don't think that, for any reason, we can sell your item in our shop, we are likely to refuse purchasing it from you. Items that are beyond repair, incomplete, or too costly to bring up to selling condition. And, as above, should it, upon inspection, differ from the provided description in such a way that will make us cancel our quote and request a refund from you.

ABOUT US

about.

You might have heard of us before...

We are Rubix Drums. We have been a drum shop and studio for a while, and we also offer hire, bookings, management and storage services from our state-of-the-art facilities in Northolt, London.

We have over 100 drum kits in our shop, and something like over 200 snares and 500 cymbals... Yep, we're crazy like that!

And we want more! We've recently been working closely with the biggest brands in the drumming world to bring more of their amazing gear into our shop.

But we're actually more known due to our range of used and vintage gear that we have to use in our studios, for outside hire as well as for sale.

As we are looking to expand on this, and want to make it as simple as possible for you, we decided to create a separate website to allow you to easily let us know of whatever gear you may want to sell.
